How AI animation works, from one sentence to a finished video

An AI video generator is not one model doing magic. It is a production line of smaller steps, each one doing a job a person used to do. Here is the whole line, in the order Motion2D runs it.

How it works

  1. You describe the video

A topic, your script or a YouTube link, plus the language, voice, length and shape you want.

  2. It researches the topic

It reads Wikipedia and the web so the script is built on facts, not guesses.

  3. It writes the script

Narration split into scenes, each with what to show and how the camera should move.

  4. It draws every scene

Characters, props and backgrounds in one consistent cartoon style.

  5. It voices and times it

Narration is spoken, captions are matched word by word, music is mixed under it.

  6. It animates and renders

Characters move, cameras pan and zoom, and the result is encoded as an MP4.

What the AI decides, and what you decide

The AI makes hundreds of small choices: which scene follows which, where a character stands, when to cut. You make the few choices that change the video: the topic, the angle, the length, the voice.

You can step in at any point. Paste your own script if you want control of every word. After the render, draw the video again with new notes, or add more scenes to make it longer.

Why it doesn't look like random AI video

Many AI video generators create each frame from noise, which is why faces melt and hands change between shots. Motion2D works more like an animation studio: it draws characters once, then moves them, so they stay the same from the first scene to the last.

That approach is also why it can make a 10-minute video that holds together, while frame-by-frame generators usually stop at a few seconds.

Questions and answers

How does AI animation work?

AI animation splits video production into steps (research, scripting, drawing, voice, timing and rendering) and uses a model or tool for each. Motion2D runs all of them in order and shows live progress while it works.

How long does a video take to make?

Usually a few minutes for a short video and longer for a 10 to 15 minute one. You can close the tab; the video keeps rendering and you get a notification when it is ready.

Can I change the video after it is made?

Yes. Use Draw it again with a note describing the new look (the script and voice stay the same), or Add more scenes to make it longer.

Will AI replace animators?

It changes the work more than it replaces it. Fast, simple explainers are now possible for anyone, while character-driven films and distinctive styles still depend on artists.
