What your credits make
Credits are taken by the length of the finished video. Mix and match: Starter could make one 5-minute video and five short Reels in the same month.

|---|---|---|---|
| Reel or Short, up to 20 seconds | 1 | 10 a month | 24 a month |
| Reel or Short, up to 60 seconds | 2 | 5 a month | 12 a month |
| YouTube video, up to 3 minutes | 3 | 3 a month | 8 a month |
| YouTube video, up to 5 minutes | 5 | 2 a month | 4 a month |
| YouTube video, up to 10 minutes | 8 | 1 a month | 3 a month |
| YouTube video, up to 15 minutes | 11 | Not on Starter | 2 a month |
| Video to cartoon, per 30 seconds of footage | 2 | Not on Starter | 6 minutes of footage |
How credits work
Every video uses credits by its finished length, from the table above. Reels and Shorts are vertical 9:16; YouTube videos are widescreen 16:9. Both come in 1080p with captions, narration and music.
Credits refresh at the start of each billing month and don't roll over. Drawing a video again with new notes uses the same credits as making it, because it is drawn and rendered again.
- Short Reel (20 s) = 1 credit
- Reel up to 60 s = 2 credits
- 10-minute video = 8 credits
How this compares
Animation software asks for a licence plus the hours to learn it. Agencies typically charge hundreds to thousands of dollars per finished minute. On Pro, a finished, narrated 10-minute YouTube video works out at about $16, and it takes minutes of your time. See explainer video cost for the full comparison.
